Vaporesso Armour G/GS Pod Cartridge

The Vaporesso Armour G and GS Pod Cartridge is the official 5ml refillable replacement pod for both the Armour G Pod Vape Kit and the Armour GS Pod Vape Kit. The pod itself is identical between the two kits - the only difference is that the Armour G runs a built-in 3000mAh battery and the Armour GS takes an external 18650 cell. Both kits use the same shared 5ml pod cartridge sold here.

Inside each pod is the Vaporesso GTX coil platform - the same removable coil system used across the GTX One Pro, GTX Go and other Armour pod kits. The cartridge ships in two formats: MTL XL with airflow tuned for mouth-to-lung vaping, and DTL XL with wider airflow for direct-to-lung clouds. Each box contains a two-pack. UK TPD lock-down restricts e-liquid capacity to 2ml when filled, even though the chamber design is 5ml.

GTX Coil Platform Inside the Pod

Both MTL XL and DTL XL pods use the Vaporesso GTX coil platform. The coil clicks into the pod from the bottom and pulls out for replacement when flavour drops or vapour production thins. Coil range covers 0.15 ohm at the DTL end up to 1.2 ohm for tight MTL. Pod-and-coil rebuilds work as follows: keep the pod, replace just the coil at approximately weekly intervals, replace the pod itself every 4-6 weeks once o-rings or wick gaskets show wear.

MTL XL vs DTL XL - Which to Pick

The two pod variants use different airflow tuning. MTL XL has narrower airflow openings on the base of the pod, which suits 0.6 ohm to 1.2 ohm GTX coils and gives a tight cigarette-style draw. Pick MTL XL if you vape 10mg or 20mg nic salt at low wattages (8-16W). DTL XL has wider airflow openings for unrestricted air movement, which suits 0.15 ohm to 0.4 ohm GTX coils at higher wattages (26-75W). Pick DTL XL if you vape high-VG shortfill for clouds.

How to Refill and Prime

Lift the silicone plug on the side of the pod to expose the fill port. Drip e-liquid into the chamber up to the 2ml fill line - the pod is a 5ml chamber design but UK TPD lock-down restricts fill volume to 2ml. Re-seat the silicone plug firmly. Let the pod sit for approximately five minutes before the first puff so the coil wick saturates fully. Skipping the prime step burns the coil and shortens pod life. For best results, top up the pod before it goes fully empty rather than running it dry.

The Armour G/GS pod cartridge fits two kits only:

• Vaporesso Armour G Pod Kit - 3000mAh built-in battery, 80W max output, 510 thread on top, draw-activated
• Vaporesso Armour GS Pod Kit - same kit as Armour G but takes an external 18650 cell instead of the built-in battery

These pods do NOT fit the Armour Ultra Vape Kit or Armour Ultra Mod - those run the iTank T sub-ohm tank on the GTi coil platform, a completely different system. They also do not fit the Eco Nano Plus, XROS or Luxe X kits, which use the COREX pod platform.

E-liquid choice depends on which GTX coil you load and which pod variant you bought. MTL XL pods at 0.6-1.2 ohm pair with nic salt e-liquids at 10mg or 20mg in a 50/50 VG/PG ratio. DTL XL pods at 0.15-0.4 ohm pair with shortfill e-liquids at 70VG or higher.
