The Vaporesso Armour Ultra Mod is the standalone box mod version of the Armour Ultra Vape Kit. Same 5500mAh built-in battery, same 100W AXON chipset and Boost / Pulse / Eco / TC modes, same IP68 + IP69K + MIL-STD-810H ruggedisation, sold as device only with no tank in the box. This is the right pick if you already own a 510-thread sub-ohm tank or RTA, or if you want to pair the rugged Armour chassis with a tank of your choice rather than the kitted iTank T.

The 510 connection accepts standard 25mm sub-ohm tanks without overhang and slightly wider 26mm tanks with a small overhang. The colour OLED, the side fire bar, the up and down adjustment keys and the USB-C 9V/2A fast charging all match the kit version. 5500mAh Battery and USB-C Fast Charging

The internal 5500mAh cell is the same one fitted to the kitted Armour Ultra. With a 0.4 ohm coil running at 45-55W on whichever 510 tank you pair, expect approximately two days of mixed DTL use between charges. At 60-75W on a 0.2 ohm coil that drops to roughly a day and a half. USB-C charging accepts 9V/2A or 5V/3A inputs and refills the mod flat to full in approximately one hour. Pass-through vaping while charging works on the Armour Ultra Mod for short top-up sessions.

AXON Chipset, Boost Mode and Eco Mode

The AXON chipset behind the 0.96 inch OLED runs five power modes. Smart reads the resistance of whichever coil you click in and sets wattage automatically. Boost Mode is the headline feature - it pushes peak power for the first second of every puff to deliver a punchier hit through the start of the inhale. Pulse holds power steady for consistent flavour across the puff length. Eco caps output to extend battery life on long days. Temperature Control limits dry hits on stainless and Ni200 coil builds. Mode switching happens via the on-screen menu or by holding fire and pressing up or down.

IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H Ruggedisation

The Armour Ultra Mod inherits the same triple ruggedisation as the kitted Armour Ultra. IP68 is dust-tight and water-resistant to one metre submersion for approximately 30 minutes. IP69K tests against high-pressure hot-water jets, which is a higher bar than IP68 in that one specific environment. MIL-STD-810H is the US military drop and shock standard at 1.2m across 26 separate impact angles. 510 Thread Tank Compatibility

The 510 connection sits flush with most 25mm-base sub-ohm tanks and accepts wider 26mm tanks with a small visible overhang. Sub-ohm tanks, MTL tanks and rebuildable atomisers (RTA / RDTA / RDA) all fit. Single-coil RTAs work with the higher output modes. The iTank T from the kit version is the natural pairing if you want the matched-look option. Any standard 510-thread tank from any brand is supported.

How to Use the Armour Ultra Mod

Five clicks of the side fire bar powers the device on. The OLED shows your selected wattage, coil resistance, battery percentage, mode and puff count. Use the up and down keys to step wattage in 1W increments. Three clicks locks the screen so wattage cannot change in a pocket or bag. Hold fire while pressing up or down to switch between Smart, Boost, Pulse, Eco and TC modes. Screw any standard 510 sub-ohm tank into the top, prime the coil for approximately five minutes after refilling, then fire.

Compatible Tanks and Coils

Any 510-thread sub-ohm tank, MTL tank or RTA / RDA fits the Armour Ultra Mod. The cleanest matched pairing is the Vaporesso iTank T sub-ohm tank, which uses the GTi mesh coil platform and matches the kit version. Replacement coils for the iTank T live in the Vaporesso coil range, and the spare glass tube is also stocked.

E-liquid choice depends on which tank you screw onto the Armour Ultra Mod.
