Vaporesso GTR Replacement Coils

Vaporesso GTR coils are sub-ohm mesh replacement coils built for the legacy Vaporesso GTR sub-ohm tank. Two resistances are available: a 0.15 ohm head for warmer, denser vapour at higher wattages, and a 0.4 ohm head for a tighter restricted direct-to-lung pull. Both coils use a mesh element instead of a traditional wire wrap, which spreads heat evenly across the cotton wick for richer flavour and longer coil life from each replacement.

GTR is one of Vaporesso's older sub-ohm coil platforms, predating GTi and GTX. The GTR tank itself is no longer manufactured, but Ecigone keeps the GTR coil range available for vapers still running the original hardware. Pair these coils with 70VG or 80VG shortfill e-liquids for the best wicking and flavour at sub-ohm wattages.

GTR Coil Compatibility

Vaporesso GTR coils are designed specifically for the Vaporesso GTR sub-ohm tank that shipped with legacy Vaporesso sub-ohm kits. They are not interchangeable with any of the newer Vaporesso coil platforms - GTX, GTi, COREX and QF all use different sockets and resistance ranges.

Quick check: unscrew the tank from your mod, look at the base of the tank where the coil sits. If the tank is engraved "GTR" and the coil head matches the press-fit GTR socket, these are the correct replacements. If your tank is engraved iTank, iTank T, NRG, SKRR, SKRR-S or anything else, you need a different coil platform.

• Luxe X3, Armour G, Armour GS, GTX One Pro - use GTX coils instead
• XROS family / Luxe X COREX 2.0 - those use integrated COREX coils built into the pod, not replacement coil heads

• NRG / NRG SE - use GT Mesh coils instead

The 0.15 ohm GTR runs warmer and produces denser clouds at 60-80W. It chews through e-liquid faster, so keep the tank topped up. The 0.4 ohm GTR is the cooler, tighter coil in the range - better suited to vapers who want a more focused flavour profile and longer coil life from each pack.

Installing a New GTR Coil

Drain the GTR tank if you are changing resistance, unscrew the tank base, and pull the old coil straight out. Press the new coil firmly into the base socket until it seats. Drop two or three drops of e-liquid onto the visible cotton ports on the side of the coil, refill the tank, and stand it upright for five to ten minutes so the wick saturates. Start at the lower end of the wattage range and work upwards. A short break-in at lower wattage gives the coil a longer life and a cleaner flavour from the first puff.
