Vaporesso Luxe XR Pods

The Vaporesso Luxe XR replacement pods are 5ml empty refillable pods built around the GTX coil platform, sold in 2-packs with a choice of MTL or DTL drip-tip style. The pods ship empty - you fit a separate Vaporesso GTX coil from the 0.15 ohm to 1.2 ohm range, then refill with your own e-liquid through the bottom fill port. The same pod connection runs across the current Luxe XR kit family - if you upgrade kit, your existing pods carry over.

These are the same 5ml refillable pods Vaporesso ship with the Luxe XR Max 2 and Luxe X3 kits. They are a different pod platform from the Luxe X COREX 2.0 pods, which use a built-in coil and a different pod body - the two pod types are not interchangeable.

MTL vs DTL Pod - Which to Pick

The two drip-tip styles share the same 5ml pod body and the same GTX coil socket. The choice is about draw width and which GTX resistances pair best.

How the GTX Coil System Works

Every Luxe XR pod accepts the full Vaporesso GTX coil range. The coil is a separate part that slides into the base of the pod through a press-fit collar - no screw thread to cross. Push the coil in until it clicks, snap the pod onto the kit, the device reads the resistance and auto-adjusts wattage on Luxe XR Max 2 and Luxe X3 kits with screens.

Because the coil and pod separate, you only replace the coil when it wears out, not the whole pod. A pod typically lasts up to approximately ten coil swaps before the seals show wear or the wick discolours. That makes a 2-pack of pods plus a 5-pack of GTX coils a long-running setup compared with prefilled or integrated-coil alternatives. GTX is also the same coil platform Vaporesso use in older GTX tanks like the Target PM80, so coils you already own drop straight in.

E-Liquid Pairing Guidance

The MTL pod is built for higher-strength e-liquid and tighter draws. Pair it with 10mg or 20mg nic salt e-liquid or a 50/50 freebase blend, fit a 1.2 ohm or 0.8 ohm GTX coil, run at 8W to 16W. You get a tight cigarette-style inhale.

The DTL pod is built for low resistance, low nicotine, high VG vaping. Pair it with a 70/30 shortfill e-liquid, fit a 0.15 ohm or 0.2 ohm GTX coil, run at 50W to 70W on the Luxe XR Max 2 - you get open lung inhale with bigger clouds.

How to Fit a Coil, Refill and Prime

Pop the pod off the kit, fit your chosen GTX coil into the base socket and press until it clicks. Lift the silicone plug at the bottom of the pod, tilt the bottle nozzle into the fill port and slowly draw e-liquid in along the inside wall to avoid trapping air in the wick. Fill to just below the max line, replace the plug, leave the pod on its side for five minutes so the wick saturates fully. Take three or four short pulls without firing to draw e-liquid through the coil, then start at the lower end of the coil wattage range and build up. Skip the wait and the first hits will taste burnt because the coil dry-fires.
