The Story
Vaporesso SKRR QF Coils
Vaporesso SKRR QF coils are the replacement coils for the Vaporesso SKRR and SKRR-S sub-ohm tanks, the high-wattage tanks that shipped with the legacy Revenger, Revenger X, Polar and original Luxe sub-ohm kits. Two resistances are available: a 0.15 ohm QF Strip and a 0.2 ohm QF Mesh. Both coils run in the 60-90W direct-to-lung wattage range these kits were designed for.
If your kit has a SKRR or SKRR-S tank screwed on top, these are the correct replacement coils. The original kits are no longer manufactured by Vaporesso, but Ecigone keeps QF coil stock so customers running the original hardware can keep it going. For newer Vaporesso kits like the Luxe X3 or Armour G, see the alternative coil platforms section further down.
Key Features
- Two Resistance Options - 0.15 ohm QF Strip and 0.2 ohm QF Mesh
- 60-90W Sub-Ohm DTL - built for the original SKRR / SKRR-S wattage window
- Press-Fit Install - plug-and-play swap into the SKRR or SKRR-S tank base
- QF Strip Element - even-heating flat strip for a smoother flavour profile
- QF Mesh Element - larger surface area for denser vapour and brighter flavour
- High-VG Tuned - pairs best with 70VG or higher shortfill e-liquids
- Leak-Resistant Top Seal - reduces flooding and spitback in the tank
- 3 Coils Per Pack - keep spares on rotation between orders
SKRR Coil Compatibility
Vaporesso SKRR QF coils fit the Vaporesso SKRR and SKRR-S sub-ohm tanks. If your kit shipped with a SKRR or SKRR-S tank, these coils are the replacement you need. They do not fit any of the newer Vaporesso pod platforms such as GTX, GTi or COREX, and they do not fit the older GTR or NRG tanks either - each Vaporesso coil family has its own socket.
Compatible Tanks
- Vaporesso SKRR sub-ohm tank
- Vaporesso SKRR-S sub-ohm tank
Compatible Kits (Legacy - No Longer Manufactured)
- Vaporesso Revenger kit
- Vaporesso Revenger X kit
- Vaporesso Polar kit
- Vaporesso Luxe kit (original sub-ohm version, not the Luxe X pod kit)
Quick check: unscrew the tank from your mod and look at the coil head. If the threading on the coil matches a QF coil and the tank is engraved SKRR or SKRR-S, these are the correct replacements.
QF Strip vs QF Mesh Coils
Both coils fit the same SKRR and SKRR-S tank, both run in the same 60-90W range, and both work best with high-VG shortfill e-liquid. The difference is in how the heating element is built.
The 0.15 ohm QF Strip uses a flat strip element that heats evenly along its length. The result is a smoother, more rounded flavour profile and a slightly tighter cloud. It runs a little warmer at the same wattage and tends to be the preferred choice for vapers who want flavour clarity over sheer cloud size.
The 0.2 ohm QF Mesh uses a wider mesh element with more surface area in contact with the wick. Vapour production is denser and the flavour profile is brighter, especially in the upper half of the wattage range. It is the more cloud-focused of the two coils.
Both pair best with a 70VG or higher shortfill. Nicotine salts and 50/50 freebase liquids are too thin for these coils and will wick poorly at this wattage.

Installing a New SKRR Coil
Unscrew the tank base from the glass, pull the old coil straight out and press the new coil into the base socket. Re-attach the glass and fill the tank with your chosen shortfill. Saturate the wick ports through the side of the coil with a few drops of e-liquid, then stand the tank upright for 5-10 minutes so the cotton wicks through fully. Start at the lower end of the wattage range, take a few short pulls, then ramp the wattage up to your preferred setting.
Alternative Coil Platforms
If your kit does not use a SKRR or SKRR-S tank, you need a different coil family. Vaporesso has moved on through several coil platforms since the QF range and the newer pod-based kits use their own dedicated coils.
- For Luxe X3, Armour G, Armour GS and GTX One Pro pod kits: Vaporesso GTX Coils
- For iTank-based mod kits including the Armour Ultra: Vaporesso GTi Coils
- For the legacy GTR sub-ohm tank: Vaporesso GTR Coils
- For older NRG-series sub-ohm tanks: Vaporesso GT Mesh Coils
GTX, GTi and COREX coils are not interchangeable with QF coils and will not fit a SKRR or SKRR-S tank.
